a) Introduction and Administration :

Ques : Why has your doctor recommended you to take Renotol ?
Answer : Renotol is an Ayurvedic herbal compound for those with Raynaud’s Disease or those wishing to prevent it. It has been shown to improve mental and physical well-being and is useful to combat the adverse effect of surgery if any.

Renotol is not recommended as a substitute for conventional treatment recommended by your doctor or at the Hospital for these conditions, but is an adjuvant. It may also be taken as a help for Raynaud’s Disease where the limits of conventional treatments have been reached or to palliate the effects of surgery if any.

Ques : Who should not take Renotol ?
Answer :
Renotol is a mixture of only pure herbs, its effect will be slow and steady. Hence it should be taken regularly for four months. If Renotol proves to be effective within four months, continue the medicine. If there is no sign of improvement within four months, then Renotol may be discontinued or withdrawn without consulting the doctor. In any case , if the patient thinks of discontinuing the Renotol in less than four months, he/she might as well not take it at all.

Ques : What special diet should you take ?
Answer :
Renotol capsules should be taken with clean mineral or spring water. You should drink up to 4-5 litres of this water throughout the day. Take a glass of milk, soya milk or non-citrus fruit (e.g. carrot, melon, papaya, plantain) after the capsules. Take the first dose of the day after breakfast.

Renotol capsules may not be taken in the morning with an empty stomach.
You should avoid all foods which are sour (or which turn sour during cooking or eating) whilst on Renotol.

Foods to be avoided : All citrus fruits (e.g. lemons, grapefruit, oranges), mangoes, apples, grapes, pineapples, strawberries, Sour vegetables (e.g. tomatoes) and yoghurt.

Foods Recommended : All vegetables except tomatoes, pulses, grains and sweet fruits such as bananas, melon, papaya and Plantain (Chikoo)

It is recommended that digestive enzymes (preferably natural or organic which can be bought at health stores) , be taken during treatment with Renotol. You should avoid constipation. Take laxatives if necessary.

Ques : When and how should you take Renotol ?
Answer :
Your doctor will recommend the dosage of Renotol, you should take it according to your age and weight. The general dosage works out as under :

Adults : 1 capsule 4 times a day.
Children : 1 capsule 2 times a day.

You should take Renotol for a minimum of 4 months ; if results are seen, continue indefinitely or until you are well again. If no improvement is seen at 4 months, you should not continue to take Renotol.

You should not exceed the dosage your doctor recommends. If you or someone else has taken an overdose, take the container to your doctor and tell them what has happened. However, nothing which is enlisted as “toxic matter” has been found in laboratory testing of Renotol and its contents.

Ques : What should you do if you miss one or more doses ?
Answer :
If you miss a dose and remember within 2 or 3 hours, take it then. Otherwise, just continue with the next dose as recommended.

Ques : Are there any side effects ?
Answer :
Renotol is a product prepared on the guidelines laid down by the Oriental Indian Medicine Literature. Renotol does not contain any metals, remains of any burnt objects or intoxicating elements, juices or chemicals or any such thing which may injure or impair human life.

Whether Renotol treats the Raynaud’s Disease or not, one must remember that it will not cause any harm to the patient.

Ques : How should you store Renotol Capsules ?
Answer :
Renotol should be stored in a cool dry place, but not refrigerated.
Do not use capsules after the expiry date marked on the container.

Special Advantages :

The patients who have been cured with the surgery but still carry doubt about reoccurrence of disease, they may take Renotol as a precaution for 6 to 12 months.

Special Precautions

a) Quit Smoking : The nicotine in cigarettes causes the skin temperature to drop which may lead to an attack.
b) Control Stress : Because stress and emotional upsets may trigger an attack. Particularly for people who have primary Raynaud’s Phenomenon.
c) You should avoid to use the soaps, detergent powder, shampoos, talcum powders which have more quantity of chemicals in it.
